Are you asking for a break on your payments for your mortgage, car loan, rent or other bills because you've lost work or income because of the coronavirus pandemic? NPR wants to hear from you.
The government is ordering mortgage companies to be flexible and offer homeowners who ask for help to make reduced payments or skip payments for up to 12 months. Some banks are also saying they will do this for auto loans, credit cards, small business loans, etc. with no negative impact on credit scores.
We want to know how this is playing out. Are banks and other lenders working to help you? If you're a renter, is your landlord being flexible?
Sharing your story will help our reporters understand what’s happening in the middle of this crisis. And we may contact you to see if you’d like to do an interview for a story. Thanks!
